The new and improved Butterfly Necklace!

Over the past year we’ve been re-designing the Butterfly necklace.  The most obvious difference is its size, we shrunk it by 30% based on customer feedback.

We also completely re-designed the circuit to charge faster with solar.  It now takes 15 to 20 minutes to charge, rather than the previous 30-45 minutes.  Wowza!

Still the same 16 amber LEDs powered by 12 tiny solar panels, sealed in epoxy.  See it in action below.

There is one downside, as you’d expect.  USB charging time increased a bit from 2 minutes to 5 minutes. However we added an LED on the back near the switch to indicate when its full.  No more guessing!
